Flat Boots

After continuing to notice a gap in my wardrobe for flat boots, I purchased the Toteme croc-effect leather ankle boots and the Tony Bianco Rupert boots with plans to keep just one pair. They were each so good that I ended up keeping them both – and wearing one or the other just about every day since. They are polished with denim, pull together Donni pants and I’ve even stepped out to the bakery wearing them with my Lake Pajamas and an ankle length coat. I plan to wear both pairs for years to come.

2026

I’m a believer in having a “word of the year” – a personal guiding theme, if you will. My choice for 2026 is ‘intentionality’. Life is busy, but I am adjusting my habits to act with purpose and consistency, including my posting cadence. I feel most like myself when I am sharing my thoughts regularly and corresponding with each of you. Thank you for being here. Here’s to 2026!

Le Weekend XCVI

Happy weekend to all! It remains mid-seventies in New England, so my blouses (with the sleeves rolled up) and flip flops are still in heavy rotation. I enjoyed Elin Kling’s behind the scenes of Toteme at NYFW – she inspired me to pull out my Oliver Peoples x The Row BA CC sunglasses that have been tucked away for quite a while. I have a stack of books on my nightstand but nothing seems to be keeping my attention. Any suggestions? Have a great one with you and yours!

Maria McManus Spring 2026 RTW

I always look forward to the Maria McManus collections and Spring 2026 did not disappoint. The trench coats and effortlessly draped layers stood out to me. The looks all feel very wearable, and Birkenstock gardening clogs have never looked so good.

Julia Hichens

My new favorite follow on Instagram is Julia Hichens. In addition to being the epitome of chic, she authors Arts & Tea on Substack and contributes to The Way We Play. She provides endless inspiration and is a great reminder of how important it is to have conversations with like-minded women.

Longchamp

I’ve been having a renaissance with Longchamp these days. Most of us have one (or more) tucked in the back of a closet, and I’m remembering how great the size and durability is for an everyday bag. While checking out Longchamp’s latest offering, I came across this AirPod holder keychain. How cute!

Almada Label

The new-to-me brand, ALMADA LABEL, is right up my alley. Founded in 2020 by two pioneers in the influencer industry Alexa Dagmar and Linda Juhola, ALMADA LABEL represents a modern take on a seasonless wardrobe, resonating beyond trends. ALMADA LABEL offers a blend of minimalism, conscious luxury and elevated ease, never compromising on quality. It goes without saying that I appreciate the timeless pieces and their use of black and white photography. I look forward to adding a few of their garments to my wardrobe.

Giorgio Armani II

It was heartbreaking to hear of the recent passing of Giorgio Armani. The fashion world has lost a legend. May he rest in peace.
