The Nylon Bag

A quick run into the grocery store with a baby on my hip made me realize a nylon sling bag is needed to hold my essentials. During the colder months I load my coat pockets up with phone, keys, wallet, pacifier, but when it’s warm enough to ditch the jacket I need a chic way to carry all of this and a baby. I just ordered this one and plan to leave it in the car for impromptu errands. There are a ton of options on the market: Amazon, Everlane, Cos, W Concept, Ganni, The Row, Prada.

Tove Fall 2023

Tove recently made its runway debut at London Fashion Week. I couldn’t love this collection more – the pieces are beautiful and would blend seamlessly with my existing wardrobe. The fact that the models were in black Charvet slippers made it that much more perfect. Per Vogue, Tove’s “devotees are the kind of women who wear shoes from The Row, jeans from Toteme, and knitwear from Uniqlo: they like minimalism, but with a hint of ingenuity, and at a price point that doesn’t cut too deep.” This speaks to me and I’m happy to have discovered this new-to-me brand.

Is Basic Boring?

My personal style continues to simplify and streamline which has me wondering – is a wardrobe full of basics boring? For me, it’s been efficient to mix and match the few pieces that I do own, and whenever a new piece catches my eye I (almost) always gravitate toward the black colorway. Since I’m not spending money on loud trends or statement pieces, it allows me to budget more for quiet luxury pieces. If my look is feeling bland, I’ll spice it up with earrings, a bold lip color or a little sparkle.
