A staple in my summer wardrobe is the t-shirt dress. I’m partial to the styles that graze my ankles and have a loose, easy fit. It easily takes me from a coffee run to the park/beach to dinner. A few in my wardrobe that have stood the test of time are from Cos and Uniqlo. This season’s favorites are by Cos, Jenni Kayne (here and here) and Raey.

Now that summer is here, I’m looking for easy and chic ways to lighten up my all-black wardrobe. I’m always cold, and love a cream colored sweater draped over an all-black look. These white jeans look great with a black tee, black sandals and a fun bag. I’ve been craving a preppier look lately and gravitating toward striped sweaters. How does your wardrobe change with the seasons?
In unfortunate news, my favorite bathing suit has been discontinued. Mine are starting to get a bit worn and I’m on the hunt for the perfect one piece that provides support, has enough coverage and is as simple as possible. I am considering another L.L. Bean Boat and Tote; they are incredibly durable and perfect for everyday life. Looking forward to spending a weekend by the pool with family. Happy weekend, all!
There’s nothing simpler than a white dress in summertime, and Calvin Klein’s Spring 1999 RTW collection has a ton of inspiration. The ivory shades, the scoop necks, beautifully contrasted with a black shoe – this is my inspiration for the summer. The nineties were a simpler time and it’s enjoyable to look back on runway collections and realize that simplicity never goes out of style. A few simple white dresses I’m eyeing this season are this one by Cos, this one by & Other Stories and this one by Toteme.

@highsport is one of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow. Super chic women are tagging their High Sport pieces in elevated yet understated looks and I am constantly inspired. These photos of Sophie Buhai are what I strive for on a daily basis – a low bun, a simple tee, a sweater vest, a scarf, black pants and Belgian loafers make everyday chic.

This summer I am all about matching sets that can be worn together or separately. In seasons past, I stocked up on multiple pieces in Uniqlo’s crepe fabric (it drapes beautifully), but I don’t see it within their current offering. Everlane just launched a line of beautiful satin pieces that can be mixed and matched. Cos always has many options available in all different fabrications. If you’re looking for something a bit bolder, I love Toteme’s monogram print for a vacation look or a backyard event.
Lots going on this month – Father’s Day, a family reunion, a trip to the lake with friends and a black tie wedding. There’s also tons of great content coming out: And Just Like That returns, The Bear is back for Season 2 (highly recommend), Smartless on the Road has rave reviews and Elin Hilderbrand’s latest book is coming out, marking the unofficial start of summer.
We (finally) watched The White Lotus and it may be my new favorite show. Harper’s character inspired me to schedule a dark red mani/pedi (I went with A Kiss on The Chic) and has me contemplating chopping all of my hair off – she’s so chic. I recently included white tulips in a hostess gift and had forgotten how beautiful they are in their simplicity. This baseball cap is still going strong and I wear it more often than not.
