Le Weekend XLV

A fun weekend ahead celebrating our little one’s first birthday! It’s surreal to think that a year has gone by already. One of my favorite touches for any event – no matter how big or how small – is a Polaroid guest book. The images and corresponding handwritten sentiments will be cherished forever. Have a wonderful weekend, all!

Jordanna Sharp

Jordanna Sharp is one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram. She is an incredibly talented stylist and I am enamored with every look that she puts together for both herself and her clients. Jordanna masters the art of mixing high and low and reminds women to stick to their personal style while finding what works for their specific lifestyle. She’s incredibly kind and always quick to answer a DM. I’ve been tuning into her YouTube channel while I get ready in the morning – I highly recommend.

Buttoned Up

Whenever I’m feeling uninspired, I throw on a cardigan as a sweater. It’s simple and chic and shows a sliver more skin than my typical crewnecks do. Look for an oversized style or size up to eliminate the risk of anything showing through the button gaps.

Le Weekend XLIV

I’m on the hunt for a perfect jewelry catchall – any suggestions? This image of The Half Moon Bag by The Row has me swooning. I recently watched Pamela, A Love Story on Netflix and thought it was very well done – I highly recommend. Have a great weekend, all.

The Beginning

I consider this image the beginning – the start of my love of simple, minimal, Scandinavian style. Stumbling across this image of Elin Kling and Linn Hagglund on Pinterest about a decade ago opened my eyes to the fact that simple is usually better. I used to dress to stand out and always looked for pieces with an extra detail that no one else would have – which quickly lead to a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear. Ever since then I’ve been striving to buy less and buy better. Focus on the classics and you’ll never go out of style. I’m still searching for Linn’s gorgeous Bottega Veneta slingbacks ten years later.
