A waxed jacket is a forever piece in my book. This one by Toteme caught my eye when it first debuted and I can’t stop thinking about it. This one by Mango looks great and is more affordable. I recently bought the Barbour Ashby jacket as a birthday gift for my husband and I hope he’ll have it forever.

The stunning images from Toteme’s Aspen Edit took my breath away. I’ve never been to Aspen, but it is certainly on my list. The cable knit designs are so cozy and this dress would be perfect for a glass of wine by the fire apres-ski.

The style of Gwyneth Paltrow in the nineties is a minimalist’s dream, and I always find myself turning to photos of her during this time when I need inspiration. She mastered tonal looks, simplified everything and stuck to the classics. This is what I aspire to do with my wardrobe.

The Roger Vivier Tres Pumps have been on my radar for quite some time, but I cannot stop thinking about them lately. They dress up an all black outfit beautifully and have a retro vibe but still feel current. Stay tuned on whether I pull the trigger.

New York has my heart – always has and always will. I lived in Manhattan for the better part of my twenties and feel as though it is a major part of who I am. I recently ventured in for the first time in years and was instantly inspired by everything around me. One of my resolutions for the new year is to get there more often.
A routine weekend coming up. A trip to the park in my ‘mom uniform’ – New Balance sneakers, boyfriend-fit jeans, and a longline coat topped with a baseball cap. Trying out a new restaurant that has rave reviews. And a mani pedi – thinking of going dark to match the depths of winter. Happy weekend, all!

I stumbled across Danielle Steel on Instagram and went down a bit of a rabbit hole. Danielle is incredibly chic and three of her nine (!) children work in fashion – I bet Vanessa picked the Khaite jacket below. My favorite learning was that she has a ‘writing uniform’ of cashmere nightgowns and when the company said they were going to stop making them, she bought 44 of them! I’m excited to follow along – which book of hers should I start with?
