Christy Turlington

Christy Turlington, American supermodel and activist, is a style inspiration in any decade, but I especially love her looks from the nineties. I constantly find myself scrolling through photos of her on Pinterest – she has so many iconic on and off duty looks and I can’t get enough.

Saint Laurent Lulu

I think I first saw the Saint Laurent Lulu in Garance Dore’s Love x Style x Life book years ago. I was immediately obsessed, and after seeing the always chic Elin Kling carrying it everywhere she went, I knew it had to be mine. I spent months tracking one down on the secondhand market and I still find myself carrying this bag anywhere and everywhere; it looks just as good years later. Saint Laurent’s current offering is similar, but whenever I see this particular bag I just see a pair of eyeglasses. Shop Lulu here.

Stocking Stuffers

When it comes to stocking stuffers, I like to give some of my favorite tried-and-true products. I always have this Necessaire hand cream with me, especially during the winter months. Cashmere accessories are always a hit; I love Uniqlo’s hats, gloves and scarves. The Filofax refillable notebook is one of the most used products in my life, I have the A5 size for work and the pocket size for everything else. Filofax offers all different types of paper, and the pages can be easily removed, reordered or replaced. I use these pens and purchase them by the dozen – my family knows they are always welcome in my stocking.

Le Weekend XXI

I was recently asked how to elevate a simple jeans and boots outfit, and I immediately sent this photo of Elin Kling wearing the Toteme flat boot – so chic. For the past few years I’ve used brown kraft paper to wrap any and all gifts; I find it to be such a good base for any type of tags, accessories or ribbon (grosgrain is my go to). I’m hoping to check out King Richard on HBO Max, the homebody in me loves that movies are being released on streaming services the same day they are released in theaters. Have a wonderful weekend!

High Sport

My friend Preston recently introduced me to High Sport, Alissa Zachary’s new clothing collection. After spending a decade at The Row and time at Khaite, Alissa developed durable pieces for busy women on the go. I love the fact that the collection can be thrown in the washing machine, yet is chic enough to be styled with both the Manolo Blahnik ballerimus and the Manolo Blahnik callamus. The @highsport Instagram account is incredibly inspiring, and the future is bright for this new collection.

Virgil Abloh

I am devastated to hear of the passing of Virgil Abloh, Off-White founder and Men’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, after his private battle with cancer. Virgil was driven by his dedication to his craft and to his mission to open doors for others and create pathways for greater equality in art and design. He often said, “Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,” believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future generations. May he rest in peace.
