Some might think it’s too early to put the holiday decorations up, but I’ve had this Frasier fir oil in my reed diffusers for the past month which has me excited to put our tree up today. I’m not a big fan of Black Friday (and I’m not in the market for anything in particular), but will keep my eyes peeled for great deals. House of Gucci premiered this week and I can’t wait to check it out – Lady Gaga is one of my favorites and the fashion is sure to be impeccable. Enjoy the long weekend!
Julie Pelipas, Ukrainian stylist and fashion director, is such an inspiration. No one wears a suit quite like her, and she recently launched her own suiting-minded label, Bettter. Porter has a great read on her signature style and how she got her start in fashion. Her street style is always on point and I pay close attention to the pieces she selects.
While I typically favor crewneck sweaters, I’ve found myself gravitating toward turtlenecks these days. I love both a fine knit and a chunky knit and look for those that have ribbed detailing at the cuffs and neck. There’s a ton on the market that don’t require the neck to be rolled, which is a cleaner look and leads to less adjusting. I was pleasantly surprised by this oversized turtleneck and quickly purchased a second to have as backup.

I’m looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with loved ones later this week. While my holiday looks usually consist of a chic sweater and a slip skirt, I’m striving to emulate Linn Hagglund’s look above with trousers, a wrap and my Manolo Blahnik kitten heels. Whichever look I end up wearing, it will be topped off with a double face wrap coat.

The temps dropped earlier this week, which lead to our first crockpot meal of the season. We make this crockpot chicken taco chili often – it is so good. During the cold snap I realized that I didn’t have any warm shoes for quick errands or walking the dog. I got these ultra mini Uggs in black (of course) and have been wearing them non-stop since they arrived. The Row recently launched their first fragrance, a trio of hand-blended oils exploring the elusive essence of Sandalwood, created in collaboration with L’Oeil du Vert. I can’t wait to check them out. & Other Stories is one of my favorite spots for budget friendly clothing, especially their pieces that are designed in Stockholm. Their scandi tailoring outerwear-centric collection is described as “softly structured tailoring meets feminine separates and sporty, functional touches.” I plan on adding the oversized knit sweater to my wardrobe.

Not everyone “gets” Olsen style, but I think it’s everything. Ashley Olsen stunned at the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards last week – I love her head-to-toe black ensemble, simple makeup and easy waves. The ankle length tailored jacket and minimal clutch completes the look and has inspired me to try similar styling.

The Row Friulane slippers in velvet made their way into my closet last year and I’ve been wearing them nonstop lately. They are so comfortable and I’ve received so many compliments on them. I wear them so much that I’m considering them in the stunning grained calfskin.

This should be the last time you hear me mention The Row Park Tote, as I’ve finally found it on the secondhand market. Both sizes are available, and I’m torn between the regular tote and the XL tote. The regular tote looks just a tad too small, and I’m leaning towards the XL tote that has snaps on the side to collapse it down and make it a bit more compact when needed. All thoughts and opinions are welcome!
