House of Dagmar A/W 2021

House of Dagmar’s A/W 2021 collection is full of pieces I can see myself wearing this season and seasons to come. I’m eyeing the gorgeous texture of the Alanis dress, the Ellionor shirt will be a great addition to my white button down collection and the Mazzy stripe sweater is a fall staple. The fact that House of Dagmar is the winner of the first Zalando Sustainability Award at Copenhagen Fashion Week makes these pieces even better.

Angelina Jolie

I was Team Jen back in the day, but Angelina Jolie’s 2021 wardrobe has me reconsidering my allegiance. Her cover story for British Vogue was so good, as is what she packed for a recent trip to Paris. She is quoted saying, “I invest in quality pieces, and then just wear them to death. Boots, a favourite coat, a favourite purse, I don’t change things often, you know? That’s one of my things.” She doesn’t shy away from an all black ensemble (even during the summer) and her most prized possession is her mother’s Cartier watch. A girl after my own heart – I’ll be keeping a close eye on her looks from here on out.

The Button Down

I’ve recently found myself reaching for button downs every single day. I find them so versatile and wear them with anything and everything. My favorite button down is from Everlane (I have it in black, white and a gray/white stripe) but it has unfortunately been discontinued. Toteme has great button downs and I want to try a few from Uniqlo’s men’s department as I prefer a boxy, oversized fit.

Le Weekend XI

We are heading out of town this weekend to attend a beautiful wedding on the lakes of New Hampshire. I’m a member of the bridal party and recommended this gorgeous coastal blue Vince satin slip dress. It’s universally flattering and will be a wardrobe staple for years to come. I’m looking forward to pairing it with a white button down a la LSD after the wedding. Have a wonderful weekend!

Lauren Santo Domingo

Lauren Santo Domingo, Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Moda Operandi, has great style and I pay close attention to her black and white outfits. She has a way of combining basics in a way that looks new and fresh. The many photos of her layering sweaters has me excited for fall.

Vacation Style

I love packing for the beach. I try to be as efficient as possible by packing versatile pieces in neutral colors: lightweight pants, button down shirts (my favorite with rolled up sleeves at the beach and unrolled in the chilly air conditioning), billowy dresses that can take me from day to night and, as always, one piece swimsuits. A few years ago I packed for nine days at the beach, two weddings and a rehearsal dinner all in a carry on suitcase – the options are endless with only a couple key pieces.
