We’ve been grilling a ton lately and I love the New York Times sweet potato fries recipe for a quick and easy side dish. I picked up this $20 Uniqlo U T-Shirt Dress in multiple colors and have been living in it all summer – it’s so good. The Olympics kick off in Tokyo today and I’m looking forward to watching the United States compete.

It’s currently ninety degrees out, which has me looking forward to fall. Toteme recently released their Autumn/Winter 2021 collection and it is exceptional, per usual. I’m looking forward to wearing trousers, luxurious longline coats and lots of layers.

I absolutely adore Frances McDormand. The first movie of hers that I saw was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and I tuned into Nomadland (2020) the day that it premiered – both were incredible. Olive Kitteridge is an excellent book (as is the sequel, Olive, Again) and I need to check out the HBO Mini Series where she plays the title role. Fran famously doesn’t dye her hair, get any work done or wear any makeup (even on the red carpet!) and she constantly seems awed by how relevant she is as a woman in her sixties. I’m looking forward to what she does next; she’s such an inspiration.

With a number of formal events scheduled for this upcoming fall and winter, a new pair of shoes were in order. I surprisingly don’t have a ton of closed toe heels: there’s my Manolo Blahnik mules which I love, but sometimes want to feel a bit more ‘strapped in’ and I dislike the flip flop sound in the dead of winter; and there’s my Chanel slingback dupes because I can’t find the real thing in my size anywhere. I found a great deal on the Manolo Blahnik Turgimod heels (still many sizes left!) and am looking forward to pairing them with black silk midi dresses later this year.

I am a minimalist at heart and thrive when each of my few things are put away in their designated place. I recently got this Lazy Susan skincare organizer and it has become the only thing in my bathroom vanity. I also picked up this bamboo silverware organizer which gave the utensil drawer some much needed feng shui. The sides are adjustable so it can fill various drawer widths. Next up is the linen closet.
I recently finished HBO’s Mare of Easttown and highly recommend it. Kate Winslet is an incredible actress and this photo of her wearing The Row is so good. When I started my Le Weekend series, I had no idea that Chanel carries a moisturizer with the same name – I want to try it out. Looking forward to spending a relaxing few days by the pool. The Tank Dress has a permanent place in my wardrobe, and I love that it comes in both regular and petite so I can find the length that works best for me. Earlier this week, The Business of Fashion announced that Phoebe Philo is returning to fashion after a three-year hiatus, not as the creative director of a major luxury house, but as the majority owner of her own clothing and accessories label “rooted in exceptional quality and design.” “Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” said Philo in a short announcement shared with The Business of Fashion. “I am very much looking forward to being back in touch with my audience and people everywhere. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is hugely significant to me.” I haven’t been this excited about fashion industry news in quite some time and I can’t wait to learn more.
The Saint Laurent Nu Pieds were the first pair of designer sandals that I invested in years ago. The woven design is a Saint Laurent signature and they clearly stand the test of time. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for an updated sandal this summer.

Mejuri’s motto is fine jewelry for every day. I received these dainty diamond studs for the holidays last year and haven’t taken them off since. I’m eyeing the simple gold chain and matching bracelet for a little bit of sparkle in my every day.
