The Row S/S 2020

Whenever the temperature changes, I look at past seasons of The Row for outfit inspiration. I’m an extremely picky shopper, but have pieces similar to all of those shown here: a short sleeved button down, a scoop neck tank and a polo neckline (all in black, of course). The Row does minimalism impeccably and I strive to emulate the same choices in my wardrobe.

Longline Denim Shorts

The recent heatwave made me quickly realize that I need to upgrade my shorts selection. My style is pretty conservative, but it’s tough to find shorts that are both flattering and fashionable. I picked up this pair in both colors and am looking forward to styling them with an oversized button down or a tee and a blazer.

Le Weekend III

I took a trip to Barnes and Noble this week to stock up on fashion magazines, which got me thinking about making the switch to digital subscriptions. It’s convenient (and sometimes cost effective), but there’s just something about flipping through a physical magazine. Highly recommend this chic article on why The Row is the go-to label for New York’s most stylish tastemakers. With a busy weekend coming up, I’m planning on packing my Manolo Blahnik Callamus; they are versatile enough to wear with a slip dress to a wedding and with denim and a blazer to a 30th birthday party.

Finishing Touches

Toteme is about modern uniform dressing, which really resonates with me and the limited number of items that make up my wardrobe. With the right pieces, it’s easy to mix and match for all seasons. Toteme recently launched a handful of accessories with their finishing touches edit – I’m eyeing the leather pouch.

Phoebe Philo I

When looking for inspiration, I turn to photos of Phoebe Philo wearing her own designs for Celine. She takes the simplest pieces and styles them in a way that is sophisticated, yet attainable, for the busy everywoman. There are rumors circulating that she is behind a new “luxury, eco-conscious” line and I sincerely hope that it’s true.
