This Cos longline leather blazer is not my typical style, but I can’t stop thinking about it; it would look great paired with denim and a fabulous pair of shoes. My recent post on Joan Didion reminded me of her perfect ad campaign for Celine by Phoebe Philo – I can only hope I’m half as chic at her age. Joan Didion has always fascinated me, and I thoroughly enjoyed Netflix’s documentary on her career and personal struggles. Joan has impeccable style and I would gladly wear any of her timeless looks (from the sixties!) today. She is a style icon in my book and always inspires me to keep my appearance as simple as possible.
While I’m usually in straight leg denim, I’m trying to make more of an effort to invest in quality trousers. They make me feel put together, and in some cases can be more comfortable than jeans. Trousers look great with slingbacks and mules, but can just as easily be paired with ballet flats and loafers.

I recently spotted the Gunnar Nylund Chamotte vases on @emmadahl1’s beautiful Instagram feed and was immediately obsessed. I went down a rabbit hole learning about the history of these vases and would love to add one (or two) to my collection. The intricate detail and rough surface is so interesting and looks great on it’s own or holding a delicate stem.

Stylein recently celebrated their twentieth anniversary and held a dinner to commemorate the occasion. Their Instagram stories shared a glimpse into the fete and I was so inspired by the chic attendees and what they wore; I would love to wear Emma Unckel’s white ensemble above. Call me crazy, but I get much of my style inspiration from men of a certain age. Giorgio Armani is at the top of my list, as he always sticks to the classics and never looks dated. He gravitates toward dark colors, crew necks, sneakers, and always a watch. I’ve mentioned Vogue’s recent profile on him before and I keep finding myself coming back to it. I just discovered he has a stunning coffee table book that needs to be added to my collection.

My outlook on sunglasses is simple: one and done. I exclusively wore my Celine 41090/S for several years and switched it up with The Row x Oliver Peoples 71st Street sunglasses early last year. The entire collaboration between The Row and Oliver Peoples is so good, and I’m eyeing this BA CC pair.

Am I a clog person? I’ve always thought the answer was no, but the Hermes Calya Mule has me reconsidering. They are chic, practical and would immensely compliment everything in my existing wardrobe. Khaite and Isabel Marant have similar offerings and I love this pre-owned pair by Chanel.
